Description of the work

Canonised in 2015 in Rome, this Madrilenian knew how to internalise the spirit of the foundress of the Society of the Cross, Saint Angela, like few others. The sculpture shows a classic typology in the representations of the Sisters of the Cross, i.e. the gesture of showing the rosary and holding the crucifix on her chest. The study of the portrait shows a correct modelling, applying the traditional techniques of imagery to the making of a contemporary saint.
