Description of the work

Of this beautiful work, the gesture of affection between the Infant Jesus caressing the beard of the saintly patriarch, while he gazes tenderly at him, is particularly noteworthy. The Infant Jesus is holding a scapular in his hands, as the work is destined for a private collection linked to the Carmelite family, the great disseminator of devotion to Saint Joseph, as Saint Teresa experienced it in her life.

Needless to say, the workmanship of the engraving shows a mastery of technique and drawing that speaks for itself. It is the perfect complement to this delicate figure of the saint.
