Description of the work
Based on the celebrated representation carved by Pedro Roldán for Seville Cathedral, the composition shows the saint brandishing the sword with which he conquered the city of Seville and holding the orb in his left hand. The meticulous work on the armour and the cloak show elements typical of his depiction.
