Saint Anthony the Abbot
The Burriana City Council has presented the program of activities to celebrate Sant Antoni 2026, one of the city's most traditional and deeply rooted festivities. The events, organized in collaboration with cultural associations and local groups, will take place on Sunday, January 18, and will combine activities in the city center and the port.
As a notable new feature of this edition, Burriana will unveil a new image of Sant Antoni, following the deterioration of the previous one. To this end, the town council has commissioned Seville-based sculptor Juan Alberto Pérez Rojas to create a new polychrome terracotta sculpture, measuring 115 centimeters in height, which will be blessed after the celebration of Mass. This new image will preserve and dignify one of the most representative symbols of the festival.
