Monsignor Juan José Asenjo, Archbishop Emeritus of Seville, blessed last Monday, September 12, the image of the Virgen del Carmen, the work of sculptor Juan Alberto Pérez Rojas, a sculpture made of polychrome terracotta that will occupy the space of the choir of the parish church.
The ceremony took place on the day on which the Church celebrates the Sweet Name of Mary, on the eve of the second anniversary of the consecration of the church and the dedication of the altar. The Mass, presided over by Don Juan José, was concelebrated by Adrian Ríos, pastor of San Juan Pablo II; Leonardo Giacosa, parochial vicar and the priests Miguel González, of the Opus Dei Prelature and Francisco J. Jaén, member of the Carmelite community of Santo Ángel, of Seville.
